Food Bucks Program Expands to Freeman Family Farmstore

We’re excited to announce an expansion of our Food Bucks Program with the addition of a new community partner, Freeman Family Farm & Greenhouse. NSCHC patients can now use their Food Bucks at Freeman Family Farmstore, joining Mayfly Market & Deli as a participating local business. The mission of Freeman Family Farm Store goes beyond providing fresh, locally grown produce - it includes dedication to food justice, ensuring that our community has access to healthy food options and educational resources to thrive.

Supporting Healthy Choices in Our Community

By partnering with local food businesses, the Food Bucks program helps make fresh, nutritious food more accessible for individuals and families in our community. NSCHC is working to reduce barriers to healthy eating and support neighborhood-based solutions that promote wellness.

Building a Healthier NorthSide Together

With the addition of Freeman Family Farmstore, participants have even more opportunities to purchase fresh produce and other healthy food options close to home. This expansion reflects NSCHC’s ongoing commitment to whole-person care. Good health is shaped not only by medical care, but also by access to nutritious food, supportive relationships, and strong community partnerships.

We are grateful to both Mayfly Market & Deli and Freeman Family Farmstore for partnering with us to help make healthy food more available to our patients and neighbors.
