On Saturday, October 31, our community came together for a festive Halloween celebration, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local neighbors, businesses, and partner organizations, local children enjoyed a packed morning of activities. Kids picked out their perfect jack-o'-lantern from our 100-pumpkin patch, took home over 200 free books, and got creative with hands-on craft stations hosted by the National Aviary and the Children's Museum. NSCHC staff participated by passing out treats for trick-or-treaters.
Highlights of the day included:
100 pumpkins given away in the neighborhood pumpkin patch
200 free children’s books distributed to young readers
Hands-on crafts with the National Aviary and the Children’s Museum
Pumpkin, cookie, and treat bag decorating stations
Face painting, balloon art, family games, and music from our DJ
Hot chocolate, gelato from Butterfat, and free meals for kids courtesy of The Smash Shack
Neighborhood trick-or-treating across local business storefronts
Events like this highlight the heart and unity of the vibrant North Side - North Side Christian Health Center is grateful to be included!
