Community Connection in Action: NSCHC at Mission of Mercy

We’re excited to share the success of a powerful community partnership! North Side Christian Health Center (NSCHC) recently joined forces with the Three Rivers Alliance of Community Health Centers (TRACHC) at this year’s Mission of Mercy Health Clinic, October 16-17 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

During the impactful two-day event, Mission of Mercy provided crucial care to 1,592 patients. This tremendous achievement was made possible thanks to an extraordinary volunteer turnout, with 1,932 dedicated individuals giving their time and energy to serve our community. Special thanks to the NSCHC staff who volunteered: McKenna Priester, Chelcey Beavers, and Gabby Adu-Marfo.

While Mission of Mercy offers immediate, short-term relief, ongoing health management is essential. Stationed on-site throughout the event, our team focused on connecting patients with follow-up care at NSCHC. We ensured that patients receiving treatment at Mission of Mercy can maintain access to compassionate, comprehensive, and affordable medical and dental care well into the future.

NSCHC is a member of Three Rivers Alliance of Community Health Centers (TRACHC), a consortium of six southwestern PA health centers that work to ensure accessible, quality health care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of ability to pay.

A huge thank you to Mission of Mercy, TRACHC, and the army of volunteers who made this event a resounding success. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger community!
