NSCHC Welcomes Dr. Mia Adkins and Dr. Sam Adkins

North Side Christian Health Center is pleased to announce the addition of two family medicine physicians to our clinical care team: Dr. Mia Adkins and Dr. Sam Adkins. Their experience, clinical expertise, and commitment to community health will help us continue to expand access to high-quality primary care.

Dr. Mia Adkins

Dr. Mia Adkins brings extensive experience in comprehensive family medicine and a specialized background in sports medicine.

  • Education & Training: She earned her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her medical degree from the East Carolina University School of Medicine. She completed both her family medicine residency and fellowship at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

  • Professional Focus: In addition to primary care, Dr. Adkins has served as a team physician for numerous high schools and is active in medical education, publishing, and presenting in the field of sports medicine.

Dr. Sam Adkins

A Southwestern Pennsylvania native, Dr. Sam Adkins has dedicated much of his career to providing care to underserved populations, both locally and abroad.

  • Education & Training: He graduated from Allegheny College before earning his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency training locally at UPMC St. Margaret.

  • Community & Global Service: Dr. Adkins spent seven years providing healthcare services at a homeless shelter in Greenville, North Carolina. His commitment to global health has also led him to participate in medical mission trips to Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Sri Lanka.

Both physicians bring valuable expertise and a strong dedication to patient-centered care. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Mia Adkins and Dr. Sam Adkins to our community.
