Grant Funding Supports Upgrades at NSCHC
North Side Christian Health Center has received funding for our Community Health Center Safety and Operational Improvement Renovation Project.
This project will renovate the entry and lobby of our 816 Middle Street location to enhance safety, privacy, and efficiency for patients and staff. Planned improvements include:
a clearly defined security station
private check-in and check-out areas
better use of existing space to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for all
These upgrades reflect our ongoing commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and accessible care for our patients.
NSCHC is one of 13 projects to receive funding in the 19th Legislative District. A total of $3.8 million in grants was awarded. Funding comes from Local Share Account funds and the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program, which are distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
The grant application for North Side Christian Health Center was sponsored by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA) and supported by State Representatives Aerion Abney and Wayne Fontana.
“These are worthwhile projects that will benefit Pittsburgh in many ways,” said State Representative Aerion Abney. “They will help renovate buildings, create public spaces, and provide ambulance services, among other things. I’m pleased to see these funds distributed back to our city for projects that will improve our quality of life.”
