Dr. Daniel Holt
Dr. Daniel Holt attended medical school at Penn State University, College of Medicine in Hershey PA. His initial interest was Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed his first year of residency in OB/GYN at Hershey Medical Center. As that year progressed he felt led to a change of course and he pursued his career in Family Practice. He was accepted into the Family Practice program at Saint Margaret's where he completed another intern year and finished his residency.
Back together again, now in residency, with his friends Mark Guy and Todd Wahrenberger the dream and passion of caring for the urban community on the Northside grew into a reality. He and his wife, Heidi, and their 2 children at the time, decided to live in the Northside where they ended up raising their children and putting down deep roots. Daniel spent his first 11 years as a doctor working at the health center and added 2 more children to his family.
His time at North Side Christian Health Center was one of significant learning, great challenges and great joys. After NSCHC, he went to work at Centerville clinics, a large FQHC in Washington, PA and surrounding counties. He has spent the last 17 years working for Centerville Clinics and for the past 13 years, in addition to still seeing his patients, has taken the demanding position of Medical Director and specialized role of Director of the Black Lung program.
Dr. Holt has found much purpose, fulfillment, and personal growth in his career focused on medically underserved communities and economically impoverished people. When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoys fishing, hiking, gardening, growing spiritually in community, and woodworking.
