NSCHC welcomes patients who do not have health insurance.
If you do not have health insurance and have difficulty paying for services, please ask to meet with our Patient Advocate for fee counseling. Your fees will be based on your income level, so bring proof of income to this meeting.
Low-income patients without insurance may obtain some medications at the Health Center through Allscripts. If you need a refill of an Allscripts medication, be sure to advise the receptionist. Sometimes, samples may be available. If you do not have health insurance that covers your medication, schedule an appointment with the pharmacist to request medications from the pharmaceutical company.
The Health Center does not provide free services. We are a "help up and not a handout." Payment is expected at the time of service in the form of cash, check, or credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
